On Monday, a report of a suspicious package at Ryder Logistics in the 8600 block of Congdonhill Drive in Lower Macungie Township led to the evacuation of the business and the closure of a stretch of Route 100. According to Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Nathan Branosky, the location of the package was at Ryder Logistics, which has been evacuated as a precaution.

Local roads, including Route 100 at Spring Creek Road, were shut down to prevent access to the area. Captain John Christopher from the Allentown Fire Department reported that the Allentown Bomb Squad was called to Congdon Hill Drive to assist with the investigation by state police. The bomb squad arrived just before 2 p.m. on Monday.
