Madison Heights’ Amherst County Community Health Center Nears Completion

Amherst County is set to receive a new community health center in Madison Heights, as announced by Johnson Health Center. The facility, expected to open in early 2024, will offer primary care for adults and pediatrics, behavioral health services, dental care, a drive-thru pharmacy, and a wellness center with fitness equipment and a teaching kitchen.

Johnson Health Center’s CEO expressed excitement about the nearing completion of the project and the potential for job opportunities. Plans are underway to hire 13 to 20 new workers to support the operations of the new facility.
