Ohio State Athletic Director Shakes Up Football Recruiting Team: Erin Dunston Departs

Erin Dunston, Ohio State football recruiting staffer, departs from program

Erin Dunston, the assistant athletic director for football recruiting and events at Ohio State, has announced her departure from the program. This comes during a critical month for official visits, with two more weekends before a recruiting dead period begins on June 24. Dunston had been managing the Buckeyes’ on-campus recruiting for the past three years.

Dunston has ties to Michigan through her family, as her sister is an assistant women’s basketball coach and former player for the Wolverines. Prior to her time at Ohio State, Dunston worked as a recruiting staffer at Kansas and Purdue, as well as a graduate assistant with LSU’s operations staff. Despite recent staff changes, Ohio State has been successful in securing commitments from top recruits for their 2025 class. In recent weeks, they added Faheem Delane, a four-star safety from Washington D.C., and Bo Jackson, a four-star running back from Cleveland. With 14 commits, Ohio State currently holds the top-ranked recruiting class in the nation for the 2025 cycle according to 247Sports’ composite rankings.
