Pittsburgh’s Best Pizza Shop Bids Farewell after Six Successful Years

Pizza Express Junior Grande shuts down after a successful six-year run

After six successful years in business, Grande Jr. Pizza Express has announced its closure. The popular pizza shop, located near the Meadows Casino in Washington County, has described their time there as tremendous. Despite being named the Best Pizza in Pittsburgh earlier this year by 100.7 Star, the shop has decided to end its operations.

Customers can still enjoy pizza until the final day on Saturday, with items gradually being removed from the menu as they run out. The shop expressed appreciation for all the support they have received from their loyal customers over the years. Earlier this year, Grande Jr. Pizza Express was ranked #1 in the 2024 Best Pizza in Pittsburgh contest hosted by 100.7 Star. The contest featured Detroit-style pizza provided by the shop.

The decision to close was not an easy one for the owners of Grande Jr. Pizza Express, but after much consideration and reflection, they have decided that it is time to move on to new opportunities. The shop’s closure will be felt by many in the community who have come to love their delicious pizzas and friendly service over the years.
