Rise to the Challenge: Wichita Falls’ First Health Fair since 2019 Promotes Superhero Health

Health Fair to be Hosted by Public Health District

The Wichita Falls-Wichita County Public Health District is set to host its first health fair since 2019 next week. The event will take place on April 4 from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Health District’s main campus located at 1700 Third Street. This year’s theme for the fair is “Super Heroes, Super Health,” designed to cater to both children and adults.

Chris Horgen, City Public Information Officer, shared that more than 40 community partners will be present at the event to support the WFWCPHD motto: “A healthy community is a strong community.” The fair will feature over 30 kid-friendly booths with additional activities being added as the event approaches. Attendees of all ages can participate in games, activities, get their blood pressure checked, engage in a scavenger hunt, donate blood, try a car accident simulator, potentially win door prizes, and much more.

During National Public Health Week, which runs from April 1 to 7, Wichita Falls Animal Services will also be offering free pet adoptions and free microchipping at their location on 1207 Hatton Road. This collaborative effort aims to promote community health and well-being for both humans and pets. Copyright 2024 KAUZ. All rights reserved.
