Russian Authorities Extend Search for Crocus City Hall Terrorist Attack Survivors as Death Toll Remains Unchanged

The search operation extended at Moscow region terrorist attack site until March 26

The Russian authorities have extended the search operation at the site of the terrorist attack in Crocus City Hall until 17:00 on Tuesday, March 26. The death toll, standing at 137, has not been updated since Sunday.

On March 24, the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations published a preliminary list of victims, including 68 individuals. The names of the victims were listed, regardless of gender. Among the listed victims were Abdulova Tatyana Anatolyevna, Almukhametov Ilya Igorevich, Baklemyshev Alexander Borisovich, and many others.

The terrorist attack occurred on the evening of Friday, March 22, when four armed men entered the Crocus City Hall building, shot many people, started a fire, and then escaped in a car. The FSB of the Russian Federation later announced the detention of all four perpetrators in the Bryansk region. The Islamic State claimed responsibility for the attack. A total of 11 suspects have been detained.
